An American number does not tell you what kind of line it is. Mobile lines, landlines and VoIP lines share the same area codes and often the same central office blocks, so the digits reveal nothing about the line type, and the United States has no mobile prefix at all. Payment apps rest on the same ground: Venmo cannot verify you without a Social Security number or ITIN, Cash App wants a legal name, date of birth and SSN digits, and Zelle moves money only between US bank accounts. Banks and federal portals turn a shared line away, correctly. Keep this to signups you would not mind being public, and assume a stranger reads each message first.
